My grandson was born yesterday! Please meet Aiden Zapata; he was 5 lbs 10 oz and born by C-section. Both mom and baby are doing well.
He wasn't due until Aug 8 but the preeclampsia made it unsafe for him to wait any longer so the doctors made the decision to bring him into the world a little sooner than expected. My trip to visit them is planned for Aug 3 so I missed his birth, but will still get to spend 2 weeks with my daughter, SIL and THREE grandchildren. He is the little brother to the two girls on my left sidebar.
We just had a 5.4 earthquake centered about 75 miles NW of Anchorage. No damage. Just a little shaker that makes you wonder, is this the big one? No? Good.

I love that dark hair!!! I'm glad they are both doing well and that you will be able to spend 2 weeks with them!

Can imagine you cant wait until the 3th.......
Enjoy your visit Grannie :)
He's gorgeous!
I think the earth shook with joy for your new baby boy!
He is adorable and a good weight for being a little tiny bit early.
My daugher had preeclamsia too; but way earlier and our now six year old twins came in weighing only 2 and 3 lbs each. Both perfectly fine today of course! But what a time.
You enjoy your long vist and get lots and lots of kisses and hugs from all those adorable little people and the bigger ones too! So happy for you!
He's a keeper for sure!
I love that we have the option of intervening for baby and mom's sake! Congrats to everyone Patty!
Awwwww...what a precious tiny bundle of love...:) xo...:)
