This is a little project I found at the Crafty Homemaker while surfing the web. Click on the link to see a tutorial if you are interested.
My church is going to have a Ladies Retreat in June - we are hoping for about 50-60 ladies. I was asked to teach a craft and this is what I came up with. I'm also considering bringing some pretty colored papers that could be used in place of a zentangle if ladies are feeling that drawing a zentangle is too hard to do.
First I drew some zentangle designs twice the size of my glass pieces. Then I scanned them into my computer and reduced the size by 50%. After carefully cutting them out, I glued them to the back of the glass with ModPodge. I'm going to have to buy a different kind of glue as this didn't dry hard enough for what I want...it's still kind of tacky on the back. After that I attached the bail using a glass adhesive and then the jewelry findings. The earrings are approximately 1" square which may be too large for some, but they would make nice pendants also. You could also make an assortment of magnets using this technique.
I'm still perfecting the assembly part and what glues to use, but I like the overall effect. I'm hoping the rest of the ladies will like this project too.

I'm giving this a try - what are those things that you attach on the back so that you can hang them on a pendent or on your ears? I guess I'll go to Michaels to see if they have anything that looks like it would work
O:h now I want to do it too! LOL
They are so cute and I imagine photos of grandkids, reduced photos of quilts,etc... they should sell like hotcakes, and make super duper gifts!
