Sunday Sketching

Today I got caught sketching by Ramona, the lady I was drawing. She said to me after church, "I saw you sketching, who were you drawing? Jessie?" And then I had to confess that no, I was sketching her! I had drawn and erased her nose/lip area a few times so was not 100% satisfied with it. So after she saw it, she thought I drew her nose too big - I have since then made it slightly smaller. Critics! I recently bought a smaller sketch book since this one is almost full. Maybe I'll be less obvious with a smaller book.

Panda is having good days and bad days. I've made the decision to have her put to sleep although I have not yet made the appointment. After my last conversation with the vet, we do not believe she will get better but that she will get worse. She is very confused (pacing and whining), still having seizures (4 this week we are aware of), has paralysis on right side of face and now I'm starting to see involuntary leg kicks/spasms. It's a hard decision though because sometimes she seems happy and fine, but then something else happens and I'm reminded again that she isn't improving.

I've been down a lot lately and not blogging. Thanks for all your well wishes and I apologize for not being around to checking what you all are doing. I've missed seeing what you are up to. I've kind of been in my own little world.

It's official. Anchorage has broken a record with most consecutive days of rain - we are up to 29 now. How's that for a cheery summer?

I'm thinking of taking a watercolor class that starts mid-September. Hopefully I'll be back to my normal happy self soon.

Patty I am so sorry about Panda. I know it is not an easy decision. Sometimes doing the "right" thing is the hardest thing to do.

I will be praying for your health - physical and emotional.

Blessings to you.

Oh it's so hard to say goodbye to a loving pet. When I get the blues, I don't feel like blogging either.

I sure hope you get a break in the rain. I thought we had a lot around here.

I'm so sorry about Panda. I know how tough it is putting down a pet. Last year with Roxie.

Continuous rainy weather can sure be depressing . We need a bit of sunshine here and there to brighten up the spirit.
Hope it clears up soon.
But if it makes you feel any better, its better to have rain than wild fires lol
Seems a lot of people are suffering from smoke inhalation.
