Artistic Endeavors

I had a lot planned for today but still haven't gotten most of it done and it's almost 2:00pm. I had planned to pull out my new watercolors, new paper and new brushes and paint. Didn't get to it.
Instead I pulled out my paper, a goat magazine, my cutting knife and a frame. I've realized that if I want to sell my Scherrenschnitte (paper cutting) pictures, I will need to develop my own patterns instead of using patterns from books. I'm able to give those as gifts, but it would be copyright infringement (and not nice) to use them for profit.

So I designed my first pattern.....then I cut it all up so I no longer have the pattern. Oh well. Live and learn. I'm planning to give this to my sister Kris who will be goat herding on her 5-acre farm in Wisconsin.

Your original is great. That will be perfect for Kris.

I bet some desings of Alaskan animals would go over well, for sale. I could see those against a watercolor backround representing the Auroa Borealis.

AK - Tim says he loves you too, not just because he loves me.
CL - that is a great idea - watercolor auroa borealis, I love it!
Kellie - Yes, I could do a horse one very similar, with all the horses (and one pony named Caspar) running or standing and grazing. I haven't figured out pricing yet...I'm thinking $25.

When you come out to visit, wave when you fly or drive by the Twin Cities. :)
