Spring in Alaska

Today it is minus 4 degrees and we have received over a foot of snow in the past few days.....spring?  I think not!  I know it will go quickly once spring really arrives, the calendar just doesn't match the reality.  I took these two pics after leaving work yesterday.  Ravens, seagulls and eagles tend to congregate near the garbage facilities.  The seagulls have not yet come back from their winter in warmer climates so we just have ravens and eagles right now.

Funny that you have so many eagles at the dump. I hope it warms up for you soon. We are having a crummy spring so far too.
