AK State Fair

Old pioneer barn converted to display center - we are sitting outside in the cold listening to some high school kids play steel drums.
View of mountains from the parking lot - there is freezing mist up there on top.  I wouldn't be surprised if we get snow on the mountains any day now.

I went with my two sisters, mom and grandniece and nephew to the Alaska State Fair yesterday.  It was windy and cold.  BUT it wasn't raining, which was a huge plus.  We wore jackets with raincoats over them to cut the wind and try to stay warm.  In years past my mother used to bring mittens and winter hats when we went to the fair.  It can be very cold this time of year.

I didn't take pics of the kids or family.  I hate having my pic taken so I decided to give everyone else a break.

Today I worked 4 hours.  Isn't that what you are supposed to do on Labor Day?  No?  Well I did.  Just trying to get a few things caught up.  I get to meet my new payroll clerk tomorrow so hopefully I'll have her trained and able to do payroll within a month.  My A/P clerk is now out for 3 weeks - she got a lot done before she left so hopefully I won't get overwhelmed with invoices to pay.

Kris - if you really want to see pics of the kids and Kathy - check out FB, Alicia posted some pics there.

Your church sketches are wonderful! I hope you're putting together a book.

Does that mean your summer is over now? wow. To cold for moi. But great photos. Hope your work load is letting up soon with the new payroll clerk.

Did you ride the ferris wheel? It looks like you had fun even though it was chilly. I hope your workload is soon cut.
