Fishing at Jim Creek

We went fishing last evening at Jim Creek.  Didn't get a single fish but did see some other people get some.  We'll try again another day.  I think you had to have chest waders on and go out further than we did, although last year I caught one from the bank just like this.

You can see Knik Glacier in the background which gives you some idea of how cold the water might be.  There were kids out in it wearing shorts and no shirts as well as some adults (who may or may not have been drinking) whooping and hollering as they played in the water too.

I was fishing between my husband and my son so in case my cast was a little wild, I had people on each side who wouldn't get cranky with me.

This is a creek?? wow. It looks very peaceful without the sounds. :))Next time you will catch something and not a cold. :)

I'm with Cris - this looks like a river to me. I'm always astounded at your scenery, it's just amazing.
