Sunday Sketching

Today I sat between two ladies who do not know that I sketch people in church. So I pulled out my sketchbook and sketched my purse on the floor. I figured even if they noticed they wouldn't get paranoid that I might sketch them next. Neither said anything so maybe they didn't notice.
Yesterday I took these updated pictures of our yard. We cannot see our mailbox from the front window due to the high snowpiles. We had just gotten 10 more inches over two days. They are predicting more snow and warmer temps for this upcoming week. I think we've had enough for one year.

Oh boy! I remember just these kind of winters in Quebec.
They were the best years of my life. We would make holes in the snow piles for ice castles, we would slide down them and some of us with sheds would climb the shed and jump into fresh soft snow. That was a blast!

I think you've had enough too. Does thinking that make it stop?

Nice purse and great drawing of it.
I wonder if we ever get to the place of not caring what others think when we draw in public places?

I feel like a farmer, but we sure could use that snow here in WI. It's going to be bad for the farmers here if we don't get something by spring.

Great sketch of the purse but oh my...that snow! It looks like us last year, and this year we have nothing. literally nothing!! I sort of miss it and I'm sure the plants miss it.
I hope you get a bit of a thaw!

This is a good sketch. I hope it put to ease your fellow pew dwellers. This is certainly a winter to remember. I bet you can't even get to your cabin.

I make origami creatures out of the bulletin while I'm sitting in church .... and I have have a friend who does cross stitch ... some of us need to keep our hands busy while we listen :)

You have an incredible amount of snow. We had a year like that when I lived in Illinois. It was up to the stop signs. It's awful when it gets that deep!

it's going to be a long, wet spring break up isnt it?? I have similar pictures around our house. Bill was up on the roof last night to clean the chimney and the snow was over his knees.
