Bird Whisperer

My husband has a lot of patience when it comes to feeding birds out of his hand. He's got a few Gray Jays that will come in as well as some Boreal Chickadees. We also had a magpie and black-capped chickadees but couldn't get them to take food from the hand.
We called this one Feather because he had a feather loose and at an odd angle.
This is me feeding one of the little chickadees. It landed on my head while I was trying to take a picture of it.

Happy Animal Wednesday!

OMG. What fun this would be. Those poor birds were probably very hungry with all the snow on the ground.

Oh my goodness!! How precious!!
My Dad used to be the same way with birds. They trusted him and knew he had tons of goodies for them.

Aren't Chickadees just the friendliest birds? Do you get red-breasted Nuthatches there...they have personalities like the Chickadees. We have them in SE Michigan. Snow Flurries only the last few days! The Chickadees hang around flying back and forth while I fill my feeders. Love 'em!
