Today I start training my new payroll clerk. She came in yesterday but I was so busy with closing out payroll that I couldn't spend much time with her. Today I will move ALL the payroll/HR stuff from my desk onto hers and she will start going through it (with my help of course). There is a huge sense of relief in my soul.
I'm looking forward to getting back to normal life. Even though I've only been working a few extra hours a week, it feels like my brain has been taken hostage by all these payroll thoughts leaving no room for anything creative. I'm so anxious to start something new.
6 inches of snow at the cabin, but none here in town yet. Soon we will be snowmachining - I can't wait. That's the part about winter that I do love, getting to go to our cozy cabin more often; away from computers, faxes, phones and all the little things that make my life too busy.
