Seward book signing

I drove south 126 miles to Seward today for a book signing event. Seward is a small town nestled at the base of Mt. Marathon on Resurrection Bay. I was invited to attend the Spring Sailing Event sponsored by Sailing, Inc. whose owners I met at the Anchors Aweigh Boat Show I did this past January.

They invited me to come sit at their office and sell books while they served a continental breakfast and signed people up for a day of viewing sailboats in the harbor, a sailing training excursion and a Sailing Yard Sale.

After that I headed over to the Breeze Inn for a craft fair where I set up to sell more books. I didn't do so well; only sold 6 books all day....BUT, I had a marvelous day with my sister Alicia who drove down with me and spent the day by my side keeping me entertained. She even walked across the street to buy me a Pepsi when I needed one. Sisters are the best!

Here are a few pictures of the town of Seward. It was a cold, windy and overcast day.

Happy you had a fun day together, Beautiful area! Well guess all of Alaska is, at least all I saw 20 years ago.
Too bad you sold only 6...... Just like the last show I guess they are more interested in boats than reading.

Enjoy your Sunday:)

Sisters are marvelous. I am glad you had a nice day. I enjoyed seeing Seward a few years ago.

I wonder how many people came through and what their purpose was? I hope they remember your book and buy it later; those who didnt yesterday.
Fun that you and sis had a good time anyway!!!!

What a fun trip and then to have your sister come along too! The book signing and craft fair sounded fun. Glad you had a good weekend Patty.

Every time I visit I forget to tell you how much I love that header photo!

Your time in Seward sounded fun in spite of low sales. Like Lynn said, hopefully folks will buy the book another time.
I can feel the chill in the air there!

And sisters are wonderful, even my grouchy one :)
