Sunday Morning Migraine

I got up to let the dogs go outside and realized that I have a migraine this morning so I'll probably be skipping church. What normally happens is I take my medicine (which may cause drowsiness) and then I fight falling asleep all the way through the sermon. It's kind of embarrassing so I think I'll skip that today and fall asleep in the comfort of my own home.

Plus it's -10 degrees. I don't even want to think about warming up my car and facing the cold.

Taz is really beginning to settle into her new home. She plays often with Roxy, loves to play with toys, is not picking fights as much and is becoming fairly good about potty training, although if you don't see her go to the back door, she'll pee on the floor. I can't wait until she will scratch or bark or whine or do something to get our attention. I've bathed her twice and she is really good in the tub...she's a puppy but she doesn't freak out or shake all over me. I've been able to get it done with minimal water on me and the floor.Yesterday she crept up on the couch into my lap and I let her. After lots of belly rubbing she crept up onto the top of the cushion and laid her head on my shoulder. I asked sweetie to take a picture (I hate how I look but I think she is very cute!). I think I'm falling in love with her.
I had a grumpy day yesterday after I got on the scale in the morning. I haven't weighed in about 4 weeks because I was afraid to. I'm pretty much back to where I started.....in other words, I've gained back 10 of the 12 pounds I lost. So I started the diet in earnest again yesterday.

I plan to spend some time tomorrow drawing and painting. I think I need an artistic pick-me-up.

So sorry you have a headache. Ouch! Your puppy is cute and so are you! My "way of life style eating habits" have taken a divefor the worse of late and I too regained weight I had gotten rid of...so it's back to the right way of eating, I don't call it dieting because I cheat on those, but then of course it is all semantics as I cheat on this too. Can't win, except for a while when I am diligent and stick to it and it works...but when I don't, well the roller coaster takes another dive or climb depending on how you look at the scale! Just to say I understand and comisserate.

What a sweet dog She is turning out to be. Love that photo of you with her. I know how that is about gaining back what you lost. it seems to go back on much faster then it comes off.. Grrr. I too need to start over. sigh. Its the winter time that gets me. Sorry about your head.

I get horrible migraines also. I take the generic equivalent to Excedrin Migraine - they work like awesome! I love the picture of you and Taz! I'm sorry you have gained back what you lost - hope you will be able to maintain this time though... I'm rooting for you!!!

Sorry to hear that you had a migraine. The puppy does look real cute up there. Why did you give her two baths?

Emma likes being on the back of the couch but mostly on us. Taz looks sweet...and smaller than I thought. And you look fine Patty.
Most of us are always battling the extra pounds!

I used to suffer terribly from migraines. I'd have to be in a dark, quiet room. They went away after my hysterectomy! Obviously mine were hormone induced.

Feel better soon, and I hope you get some art time in.♥

I hope your migraine is gone now Pat. I would hate to have to live with these bouts of pain. Your puppy is so pretty. I am so glad to hear she is fitting in. I fight the scale too. It is not so easy to lose when you get to our age. Or maybe I should say my age. A struggle. At least you aren't struggling alone. Hang in there.

Yes, spend time doing something you love.
Hope your headache evaporates. Glad to hear your pup is settling down, sweetening up and becoming part of the family.

Glad your pup is settling in. I heard it's been darn cold up there. Looks like that weather is moving our way this week. Can you see the gained daylight yet? I sure can. I know it's really only a few min in the am/pm, but I feel it's coming - spring!
