Winter

Winter in Alaska means snow, cold temperatures, short days, and moose. We were out driving around yesterday and we saw four moose throughout town. I took a picture of the last one. I think he's checking out the sign to make sure he won't run into any snow machines on the trail.

We're getting ready for a crowd of people tonight - all the family is coming to our house for Christmas Eve goodies. Then we go our own way on Christmas Day. In our house, Christmas Day was always in the morning; then around noon it changes to my daughter's birthday. I always felt bad that her birthday got overshadowed by Christmas so we always tried to make sure that at least half the day was hers.
