Bah Humbug!

I finally got news from the pet adoption agency that is holding "my" dog. They have already placed her in another home and it seems to be going well. They'll consider me if it doesn't work out, but I don't think she is "my" dog anymore. I'm a little bummed, but know there will be others. I'm glad she got a good home, even if it wasn't mine.

I forgot to call doctor yesterday. It got very busy at work. It was a bad day and I made someone cry. It is not because I'm mean, it was because I was probably being too compassionate - I should have been more objective. Anyways, the person is over it, and life goes on.

My little talk with myself didn't do much good! I really don't want to go to work today either!

Bummer about the dog patty :(

There's definately one out there who belongs to your family. He'she just hasn't found you yet. I hope the little pup is happy.

Work situations can be sticky. I've worked for myself for so long now but I still remember office 'stuff."
(Actually, I've been unemployed for 18 months now.)I could put up with some work drama if it had a paycheck attached to it!

Better days are ahead ;)

That's funny the way one chooses dogs.
When I went to pick one I told my guys watch for the first one who pees and that's my dog.
When I grabbed the first one who peed the owner thought it was because it was a male and I asked is it?
lol He asked didn't you know and I said no. I chose it cause he peed first and he thought that was the darndest way to choose a dog hahahahaha.
But my guys confirmed it. That's what I said. and he became my Golden Nugget and even though he needs to be put down, he is still here, stinky .....but happy.

Hang in there Patty. You will get another dog. I can't believe it took them this long to get in touch with you. I think it rude. I hope you go into work with a better attitude. You will spread a good feeling around.

Oh too bad about not getting the dog you hoped for.

We bought the cutest dog book at the library today from a book rep. I can't remember the title...but it's something like.."I ate the whole pie, dogs tell all." It's true confessions of dogs and what they do when their owners aren't looking. It is done in a kids storybook format. I thought it was so cute and hilarious and for some reason made me think of your personable pups Panda and Maryanne.

I'm sure there is just the right doggie out their for you.

Patty are you going thru FOP? They are amazingly picky so if you were even considered you are fortunate.

Janice, yes FOP, Friends of Pets, they are picky but I think their pets don't come back often. I'm also looking at the shelter and Dog & Puppy Rescue in Wasilla. My perfect dog is out there somewhere, I just have to find her.

you mentally HAD that dog, so this is a bit tough.

As for work....if I could just WIN that darned lottery, I wouldn't be one of those people who says "I'm going to keep working" - hell no!!! I'd be retired in a minute

I'm sorry to learn that you didn't get your dog. I hope you find another soon to fill that spot in your heart.
