Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my family and friends! We are enjoying a meal with some of the family here in Alaska. There will be 7 adults and 2 children - more than I usually have in my home, but not so much that I feel anxious. In fact, I feel just the opposite. It's still 1 1/2 hours till dinner and everything is ready except making the gravy after I pull the turkey from the oven. Now I could stress about the turkey because 6 1/2 hours seems like a long time to roast anything, but that's what the directions say to do for a 20 lb turkey. I choose not to stress. If it's dry we'll put more gravy on it and if it's undercooked, I'll stick it back in for a bit and we'll just get hungrier with anticipation.

I'm thankful for my family, grandkids, friends, pets, church family, co-workers, jobs, home, cars, and all the other things that many people aren't so fortunate to have. I am truly blessed with an abundance of good things.

Thank you all for being my friend!

ps It's snowing big fluffy flakes and looks beautiful!

Happy Thanksgiving Patty... P dot has spent the day on the couch here on the Big Island reading your book... lots of laughter here and there from the couch... He just announced that he's going to read the really GOOD part of the book now.. the part where he's in the book... I told him I thought he'd read that part first....He's enjoying your book a LOT Patty.... GREAT times !

I hope you enjoyed your turkey and family as much as I enjoyed mine. We also had our first snowflakes this evening. BIG fat flakes. They always make me smile. Happy Thanksgiving.
