Sunday Sketching

This lady kept fidgeting - you have no idea how much people move in church until you try to draw them. She had her hand up to her mouth at least 10 times, resting on her fist, fingers covering her mouth, covering her check, every different way you can imagine. Head down, head up, turned towards her husband, turned towards me (whoops! sketchbook gets closed!) I felt like I had a very hard time capturing her profile. I finally caught her with her eyes closed (during prayer) and sketched the profile as quickly as I could.

When I got home and showed my husband my drawing he couldn't guess who it was so I'm not saying the name either. Apparently I didn't do a very accurate likeness or my husband needs to go to church more often.

She sounds like a fidgety listener. Nice sketch. Do you ever think about sharing these with your church?
