VBS Set Decorations

Today was spent making set decorations at church for our VBS that starts tomorrow - it was a glorious sunny day and my sister and I worked outside together. I made two pyramids (from styrofoam insulation) and Alicia made five palm trees from carpet tubes and green poster board. They all turned out very nice. I also spent time cutting and painting cardboard "columns" to place around the building to add an Egyptian palace feeling. Right after church tomorrow we will assemble and place everything all around. I'm hoping it all comes together.
This is Alicia and Shelby modeling the palm trees.

Starting tomorrow night my sister and I are in VBS from 6:30 to 9:00 pm all week through Friday. We are teaching and helping with crafts as well as whatever else might need done. It's going to be a l-o-n-g week! I will need rest next Saturday!
This is Shelby modeling my pyramids (she is one of the kids I took to the cabin last winter).

It all looks wonderful, Patty. It's so nice of you and Alicia and others to make sure the kids get to have a wonderful Vacation Bible School. Good job !

I especially love the palm trees. Wow, palm trees in Anchorage! You better hang on to those. Maybe in the dead of winter you can have a pretend beach party for the kids at church...just a thought.

Wonderful. Try to rest when you can. You don't want to get sick again.
