Sicky

I have been sick for three days. I've been sitting on the couch watching daytime TV and old movies in between napping on the couch and occassionally napping back in my bed. I've got the normal crud, stuffy/runny nose, sore throat, sinus headache, rasping cough, etc.

When I'm sick I don't wear my contacts (which are bifocals) so I've been going back and forth between my distance glasses and nothing. I'm finding sitting at the computer is one of the harder things to do. It's just the right distance away that I can't do it without my glasses, but if I put my glasses on, then it's entirely TOO close. For that reason I have not blogged, I haven't done any art, I haven't read anything, in fact, I've just been a big slobbering slug. Not too pretty.

I am feeling somewhat better today, enough to get off my butt and actually cook dinner. I'll probably be weak and exhausted afterwords, but I can sleep in tomorrow.

By the way, I love the movie Return to Me with David Duchovny and Minnie Driver. I haven't watched it in years but I did today. It's so sweet. And yes, I cried.

Now to lasagna. (I've actually put my glasses on and taken them off three times while writing this!!!!!!) I'm done.

Oh poor baby, those winter colds are so miserable.
That whole glasses and contact things sound very frustrating.

Hugs to help you get better.

I wondered where you were! Sickness is very much like the weather, you must brave it out.

You should see me play the piano without contacts, glasses don't work well because I must hold my head at such a weird angle to see the notes, but when I take them off I must put my face so close to the book, I look pathetic! But at least I can see and for that I am truly thankful!
