Forget-Me-Nots are Alaska's state flower. Just a bit of info for those of you who play Trivial Pursuit. You never know when this question might come up. And just in case you get asked, the Willow Ptarmigan is our state bird. The "P" is silent.

Forget-Me-Nots
These are growing in our backyard, just over the fence. I had always thought Forget-Me-Nots were blue but there are some pink ones hiding in there too. Not many, just a few.

These are so pretty.
yes, come join us on Cactus Monday. You can sketch from photos if necessary, or even do one of those beautiful cuttings you do. Or buy a cactus instead of a pet. lol We do have lots of fun.
Happy Blooming Tuesday. These are gorgeous little flowers. I usually think of them as being in the mountains. Lucky you having them in your garden.
So pretty. I wish I had something that nice in my backyard. I like how the pink is barely there. I keep saying I'm going to save for a lanscape job, but I keep finding something else to do with the money. Hopefully next year because in 6 years I get to retire and plan to sell the house.
Thank you so much for the beautiful comment you left on my blog!
Love and hugs!

When my sister in law living in alaska she bought me a real nice vase with forget me nots on it. There such a pretty little flower.
What a dainty little wildflower. I did not know they were your State flower. Good close-up shot.
And here I thought fireweed was the state flower - or is fireweed really just a weed as the name implys?
Beautiful forget-me-nots..
Fireweed is just a weed, but it sure is pretty!
You should try pressing some of these flowers between the covers of a thick book. They would make a beautiful dried flower, and with your talent you might be able to use them.
Oh how cool!!! I had to buy a packet of seeds and I need to buy another one. You should press some, especially the pink ones!!!
