Unseen guests

Tim returned from the cabin today and brought me some pictures to share with you. It was beautiful out there and he enjoyed it very much.

He took a metal detector because we still haven't found the back corner to Kris' old property. His plan was to look early in the season before too much growth, but he still couldn't find it.
However, he did find these. Bear tracks. The picture with the boot print is a rear foot and the picture with his pistol next to it is one of the bear's front feet. Tim wears a size 10 1/2. He estimates the bear was an 8+ foot brown bear from the track size.
We've seen tracks several times when we've been out there. Although I never see the bears I imagine them hiding behind every thicket, bush and outhouse. That's why I make one of the dogs come with me when I have to go to the outhouse. I'm scared of bears.
Let's focus on the wildflowers and pretend bears don't roam around my cabin where I can't see them.

I'm afraid of guns, but I was actually glad to see that pistol along side the bear print. You just never know when Mr. bear will return! Thanks Tim for those bear paw prints.

Nice flower pics too.
