Home

There's no place like home! And no place to sleep quite like your own bed, with your own sheets and your own pillow and your very own bumps and squeeks throughout the night. Not that Kris didn't provide us a lovely mattress, sheets and pillows. It's just not the same. You sleep better in your own bed, even if you do have three dogs jingle jangling outside the bedroom door at 5:45am because they want to be fed and let outside. Ugh.

Sweetie's head is feeling much better. His sunburn no longer hurts, just looks silly while it flakes away. He can wear his hat all day at work though so no one can see the peeling.

If you haven't looked at my son's website documenting his 3-month Mission internship in Japan go check it out here and then click on his video link. They posted a video clip of their little apartment. I had heard the apartment was small and when the video started I thought, "at least they have lots of closet space" but then Travis opened the first closet.... I found it very funny but you've got to see it for yourself.

My boss sort of complimented me yesterday. He left early and came into my office before going home and said, "Now that you're back I can leave early and not worry about the place falling apart." I laughed because that's not true, but it's good to know he values all that I do. I had been dreading coming back to work after a week away, but when you know you are appreciated it helps to make it all worthwhile.

I hope everything goes well at work.

Coming back home is always an awesome feeling. I bet you will sleep well.

But at my place you didn't have far to fall if you fell off the bed!

Home is best. It is nice to be valued at work. When my hubby takes vacation he is usually bombarded with telephone calls, I think that is why he goes to Canada fishing so much, to get away from it all.

So good to hear you are back home safe and sound....sounder yet still more in your own bed as you so well communicated.
Going away is a treat, and not desiring to sound trite, but truly there is no place like home.
