Artist Trading Cards (ATC)

A few of the blogs I check daily are by artists who work in watercolor, acrylic, oils, collage, fabric, etc. Often they will post pics of Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) which they are willing to trade. An ATC is 3.5' x 2.5', the same size as other collectible trading cards. If you google Artist Trading Cards you will come up with all sorts of sites explaining the concept and many with ideas for creating your own ATC's.

The whole idea behind a trade is that one must have something to trade in return. I've been working on some ATC's that I hope will be worthy of trade. My first three are re-worked from previous watercolor projects.

To make a trade, please leave a comment or contact me by email so we can exchange mailing addresses.

I hope to some day own a large collection of small bits of art - who knows? Someday some of these people may be as famous as Picasso or Van Gogh and I'll have a little bit of their art in my own personal collection. For the price of a .44 cent stamp!

To those of you who don't dabble in visual arts, perhaps a collage of something important in your life? Something personal to you? I've gotten to know some of you by reading your blogs and I would love to have a personal bit of art from each of you!

Patty!!! WooHOO! You are so ON for a trade! I love the rose in the upper left hand corner...If not already taken...may we trade???

Also, the yellow flower and the little bitty bee rocks...might we trade two or would you just prefer just one? Let me know either way!!! I'm glad you are joining in on the fun! :)

Patty - oh these are gorgeous!!! I like the same rose Margaret does so that one is probably gone. I love the dandelion too! It's so realistic! If that one is already traded then I'd love to have the two roses. I'll post more of mine that I've been working on. I have a wonderful watercolor painting that I botched up the fabric so who know maybe I'll cut it up for atcs or just smaller paintings. Marva

Trading cards how fun! I got some paper the exact size and will set to work creating something, it might be collage or it might be something else, not sure since I don't have any made up. I'll have to see what I can come up with.

If we were going to trade, my favorite is the yellow mum.

That is a very cool idea - had no idea that was going on!

When I get my stained glass skills back, I'll make a small sun catcher for trade! :)
