An Ode to Gray

An Ode to Gray
Oh, the lovely hue of gray,
it has drained my world of color;
theres the gray of the sidewalk, gray of the road,
gray of the lightposts, and gray of the snow.
It's neither white nor black, it's monotone.
Dirty, dark, dreary, and drone.
Oh, the lovely color gray,
Volcano ash, sloppy snow, slushy ice and overflow,
gray sky, gray ground, gray potholes and grayish brown.
Oh, the lovely color gray.

Looks like the warm up has begun...lots of standing water. That's a good sign!

Our temps have cool off again, so no spring in site. Darn!

Are you having a gray day? I kind of forgot that color of gray all around during break up.

In the sky you must have some white,
In your home some neon lights.
In your heart some warmth and fire,
Heated passion,embers glowing.
Colors from your threads and quilts,
keeps your love lit and bright
and don't forget the friends you know who water the flowers in the gray snow

It's funny how we are all so very different. That's not how I see gray at all. Well, now I will because I'm cutting and pasting your poem.

A blog buddie has a post titled what color is your soul? I said that mine was gray. I've been feeling "blah" about work and that was the first color that came to mind. Now you've changed that... I think I like gray now and have to pick another color for the word "blah"

Love, peace and blessings for a "Gray" day!

I guess were color coordinated! Nice Ode to Gray.

I like morning dove gray. We always have plenty of birds that inhabit our old silo. I think they are beautiful in their gray suits.
