Groundhog Day

I'm on the ground and I'm a hog....well, kind of - I don't usually pass up a good meal. This picture is of me, FREEZING, in the wind and cold along Turnagain Pass. That is an enormous ice fall behind me...actually it's one of three that are along this portion of the road.

The bad news is that you can see my shadow which I think means 6 more weeks of winter. Although technically I'm not the real groundhog and this picture was taken yesterday, so it's even more unreliable. The other bad news is that in Alaska, we are guaranteed at least 8 more weeks of winter, so if we only get 6, I'll call that good.

Was there any ice climbers out?
Come summer time you will need to take pics of the rock climber and the wind surfers.

Hi PAK, been busy and am finally getting caught up on your bolg. I WAS just like you with your old RX, but have been hearing scarry things about kids having RX partys with their parents old RX. So, I have changed my ways and weeded out all the old junk, just incase. Not that I think my kids are into that crap, but I figure better safe than sorry. AND I agree with you on the contacts, wear them for as long as you can!! Love your pictures. Glad your car finally got fixed. Congrats on the new grandbaby coming. A final thought.... SPRING IS COMING!!!!!

I love the ice picture. We have some ice falls like that along the Red Cedar River outside of Menomonie. Stay warm.

Kellie - I can't believe I'm saying this but it is kind of nice not having kids at home so I don't have to worry about that kind of stuff. I know my kids would have been fine too, but I guess you never know. My kids did a few things I would not have predicted, so you never can tell.
