The Flying Nun

There was a tv series that started in 1967 starring Sally Field called The Flying Nun. I was very young at that time so I didn't really watch it as a series but I do remember seeing reruns.

When I saw this picture of Panda it reminded me of a flying nun. Can you see the resemblence? Besides being black and white, like a nun, she looks like she could fly with those big ol' Dumbo ears.

Speaking of The Flying Nun, that reminded me of a book I enjoyed reading called A Nun in the Closet, written by Dorothy Gilman. She is one of my favorite authors. She wrote 14 Mrs. Pollifax books and many others. The Mrs. Pollifax stories are mysteries starring an elderly widow who joins the CIA and gets sent on what are supposed to be rather harmless missions, but always end up way more involved than she intended. Mrs. Pollifax, of course, always saves the day.

I loved the Fying Nun TV show....I was just a kid, but I do remember watching it.

Your doggies pics are funny. I think they like to get their pictures taken.

Never heard of the Mrs. Pollifax books but they sound really good.

She does sort of look like a flying nun! I haven't read any of those books but I've watched a few of the shows, they were good.
