Watercolor Wonder

This is what my art table looks like when I'm painting. Oh the glory of it all! Doesn't it just make you want to dip your paintbrush in the paint and start splashing it on paper? It does me. It makes me happy. Except when I'm in a rush and have a deadline. I painted my sister's picture one more time this morning (that would be number 6) and ended up liking it, but chose the 4th one instead for framing. Of course that would be the largest one so cost the most for framing and shipping.....oh well. She's worth it....I guess.

Later this afternoon I met my other sister, Alicia, at Frames Etc. so she could frame a print she purchased at the same craft bazaar I went to. Here we are purchasing our mats and frames. Krissy's picture is hiding in that folder underneith the frame and mats on the right. hmmmmm blue and yellow. What could it be?

What I like about Frames Etc. is that they have large tables where you can frame your artwork yourself. The store staff is on hand to help you with anything you need.
The young man helping us pick frames and mats liked Alicia's choices/colors better than my suggestions. That made Alicia feel validated in her choices. I tend to like brighter colors, she likes darker and more muted. It's all good. We all like different stuff. Her print is a photograph by Wayne Johnson of lupine flowers in front of a lake and mountains. It's very beautiful.
PS. I'm telling you the guy helping us was ALL WRONG!

Hummmmm...blue and yellow? The AK state flag? ( I hope not!) An iris? that is one of my 2 fav flowers! Can I open before Christmas?

PS. MOM? Where are you?

I don't care if you open before Christmas, but will that make Christmas Eve kind of a bummer because then you have no presents?

I can't believe how busy you've been Patty. I really liked the pics at the frame shop. I can't wait to see Kris's Christmas present. What a nice sister you are.
