Silver Linings

It's been a bummer of a day. Lots of problems at work. I talked with Katie and Adrian and their luggage is gone also, so they have just the clothes they are wearing. They do have the one carry-on but it is all Emily's stuff.

BUT, the Silver Lining is that Adrian is wonderful in a crisis. Katie takes after Tim, she is quiet and not inclined to talk to people or draw attention to herself. On her own, this would have been a nightmare for her. Adrian, on the other hand, has never met a stranger. He is comfortable talking to anybody and everybody and has no fear of asking questions, trying different options and working the system.

He has been on the phone to every airline, every counter, everybody he can think of to solve their problems. I've heard him follow up on problems before when he was here last July and he remains courteous, yet persistant. He's hard to say "no" to. That's why he is so good at selling cars.

I am so thankful that he is there with Katie to handle all of their travel problems. If anybody can get them through, he will do it. They have a comfortable hotel and were enjoying the "World's Largest Aquarium" in Atlanta today. Both are in good spirits and that makes me rest easier knowing that they are still having fun.

They haven't let a flight delay ruin their vacation and that makes me very proud of them.

That Adrian is a good guy. I wonder what he's going to cook for you all?

It's nice that they can roll with the punches.

After reading your post, now I want to meet Adrian and Katie someday...they sound like good kids!

Enjoy your Christmas with your family Patty.

Kris is meeting Becca & me tonight at my church in Menomonie...I'm so glad we can go to church together. I sure hope my hippie pastor doesn't scare her too much, hee, hee! Kris's church doesn't have a Christmas service! Strange.
