Yellow

My favorite colors are red, yellow and orange. I've always liked bright, happy colors. But, not in August! There's also a bit of a nip in the air, even though it got up to 61 degrees today. I heard geese honking yesterday which is another signal of autumn being just around the corner. These pics are from my backyard; there is a disturbing ring of yellow leaves loitering around my Birch tree and the Willow behind the shed has a bright yellow clump that is not cheering me up as yellow usually does.

I love Yellow. But I hate an early fall. However, once it turns, then I'm happy again. There's just something about sunny, crisp, cool days that is hard to beat. I just wish fall lasted longer and winter was shorter.
