Computers...con't

I'm back to hating! Last night it froze up several times so that we ended up just turning it off. I was getting very cranky. I went to the "help" section of Norton and found the question "Computer running slower due to installation of our product?" and it had a list of things to do. I did the list. That's when it really crashed. I finally turned it off and went to bed. Still cranky.

Next morning we have had to turn off and on several times. But then, inexplicably, right now, it is working fine! I must have gremlins. Or maybe it's operator error - too bad there isn't a program sold for that; then maybe it can just delete me!

UPDATE: 5:30 pm. Computer seems to be working wonderfully. Is it possible it just needed a good night's sleep? This is what I don't get. It fixes itself so why have me go through all that other garbage. I don't get it. I really don't.

I don't know if it helps but I know Norton has a *ton* of issues when you try to install a new copy of it.
Not sure why it has so many issues but it will actually prevent your PC from updating itself.
(Like getting Microsoft Updates or other updates for other programs.)

When I had it for work, the only option I had was take it to the PC guy and he uninstalled Norton and put on a different anti-virus program.

Hope it helps!!

Thanks for the info goalie2002. I thought it was just me. I wonder if it's crashing each time my computer automatically gets the microsoft updates. I have thought about uninstalling it, but have decided that right now it's working, so am going to hang in there for awhile.
