The winter crud and PUPPIES

So we got back from vacation last Saturday evening and I stated I was beginning to feel better.  Boy, was I WRONG!  Tim got sick and has stayed sick.  I went to work on Monday but couldn't stay the whole day.  I called in sick Tues and Wed and tried to go back Thursday.  That was a huge mistake.  I ended up staying at work all day and got sicker and sicker.  That evening my throat was so sore I was just crying each time I tried to swallow and I had to swallow to take my medicine and after coughing and when drinking liquids.  It was awful. That same evening I realized my diamond was missing from my ring that Tim gave me on our 5th anniversary.  It was a very miserable sad day. I ended up trying to sleep propped up on the couch so my congestion would not take over.  

Today, Saturday, I do believe I am finally beginning to feel better (but I just threw-up from coughing so hard).  Sweetie is much worse.  I took him to a doctor today and he is just now starting some meds.  

I've been wanting to share some more pics from vacation but have felt so poorly all week that I just haven't had the energy.  While in MO, several baby goats were born and a litter of 8 puppies to my in-laws surprise.  They were expecting the goats, but were not expecting the puppies - apparently a friendly red Coonhound had been at the barn visiting one of the Great Pyrenees goat dogs.  Grandpa said he planned to give each of his grandkids a puppy - you should have heard the parents back peddling out of that one.  Although two of the families did agree to take one.
