What a sweet little bird. I have never seen a juvenile. Great sketches. I enjoy seeing the rain too. I have almost forgotten what rain looks like.
He looks like a poor little rascal and so lucky to have you there to feed him.

Love your bird sketches! I like to put out whole peanuts in the shell...the Blue Jays here (Michigan) devour them immediately.
