We were stopped at a light in Springfield when I snapped this picture. I couldn't believe how many stoplights were strung over the intersection. After looking at the situation, we realized it was because a train track crossed the road at a diagonal right where the two roads intersected. Because of the tracks, they couldn't put light poles where you normally would. It's an interesting solution to a problem of where to put the signal lights.

Oh my goodness.. I hope they were easy to figure out the first time you pulled up there. Someones creative imagination was working over time. :)
And hopefully making it that much safer for not getting hit by a train!
