These pics are all taken on our property. One of our big trees blew down in a big wind/tornado so it needed to be removed from the field so mowing can take place. The tornado passed by within a mile of our property and took out some barns, a trailer and all the windows of a big stone house down the road. (not while we were there, but a couple of weeks prior to our arrival)

Tim loved working the tractor. He wants to buy a tractor and keeps looking at ads. I told him he cannot buy a tractor until we actually move to MO. I don't need a tractor that we aren't using in my yard in AK.
While they were working, I wondered around and took pictures. Here's my pond.
This is the back fence line that needs to be cleared and re-fenced. We had planned to do this work while there but the field was still too wet for a large tractor to be driving over it. Tim is going to go back down in Nov/Dec to work on it.
Sassafras tree. I love these, but am told they are kind of a junk tree, so many of them in the fence line will have to go.
Beautiful field - I don't think I will ever get tired of looking at fields.
And a snake. Tim found this in the front yard of our Aunt's house.....just across the street from our property. I believe it is a milk snake (now I can't remember what I was told) I do know it was not poisonous, just kind of creepy. I am trying not to get freaked out by the various critters that MO has that AK does not. I had a few ticks on me, and truthfully, ticks aren't a big deal. I never felt like freaking out. However, big spiders really get to me. And snakes might if they were any closer than this pic.

Love the first tree photo. Scary how close the tornado went thru. Good thing there werent more structures. Ticks CAN be bad and dangerous..especially for dogs. You need to keep Hartguard on them. Especially around river areas. I can just see a big tractor sitting in your AK yard. lol.. maybe you could move snow with it. :))
Bill wants a tractor too! But, he bought a bulldozer instead and when we are done clearing around the cabin, we will sell it and then MAYBE he will get a tractor!!
Its hard to come back to all the snow after that great weather in MO isnt it? I'm sure you are getting anxious to get out of AK!

You have so much to look forward to Patty. It all looks marvelous. Just think about that snake eating any rats, mice and when they are smaller even spiders. They are good creatures to have around.
That was an interesting tree and the snake well ....I would have kept it in an aquarium for a while and I love tractors.:)
I bet you look forward to the day you and Tim can move to the lower 48! Love the tractor pic!!!

Yikes, I hate ticks! They do more harm than spiders :(
