All work and no play....

Sweetie made it home a few days early last week safe and sound.  He said it was wet, the lake was the highest he'd ever seen and the trail was a mess, but he got through just fine.

I'm still super busy at work, but things are looking up.  I'm taking tomorrow off so Tim and I can drive up to Tok to visit my sister and nephew.  It is a beautiful drive and I'm really looking forward to a time of rest and relaxation.

Pics are from the cabin - we had a little creek running right through the front yard and lake was up to the top of the dock.

Wow.. glad you, hubby and your cabin are safe. Saw the flooding on the news. Scary.

Geez, I never think of flooding in Alaska. What's going to happen when you have lots of snowfall this winter?

I hope your work days get easier and easier for you Patty.

OOOH
hope it doesn't get higher. Last thing you need is to have the lake at your front door or your cabin moved into the lake lol
