At the Cabin

We spent the weekend at the cabin again; this time with my son and daughter-in-law.  She took this video of the gray jays eating pancake bites from her hand.  That's me and Tim going for a boat ride in the background.  Both dogs came with us.  Tim rowed up close to the bank in one spot to check out the beaver dam, my silly dog Taz, jumped from the boat onto the dam and then wouldn't get back in.  So Tim started to row away (she can run down the side of the lake back to the cabin, it's not that far.)  But she didn't.  She decided to swim after us and she is still learning to swim.  Tim rowed faster because he didn't want her trying to climb in - he was angling towards shore hoping she'd hop back up on the bank.  But she didn't.  She caught up to us and scrambled up over the back of the boat, right where I sit.  I grabbed her by her collar and helped pull her aboard.  Then she proceeded to shake multiple times and SOAKED me.  Then we had a nice wet boat ride all the way back to the cabin.

Taz sometimes sits on the seat like a human would.

Never a dull moment at the cabin. It always sounds like so much fun.

I love that shot of the dog standing up in the boat. He looks like he can hardly wait to get to the cabin! So cute. Glad you had a good time.
