Slug Be-gone!

I applied Slug Be-Gone to myself!  I stayed home from work today because I was still feeling yucky this morning...but I did go to lunch with my son and daughter-in-law (belated Mother's Day lunch) and did a few errands and then home to do some paper cutting.  Plus I folded some laundry and washed dishes.  And planted my begonias in the pot.

I feel better.  Nothing like getting some stuff done to make you feel less like a slug.

This moose was in the yard behind my place of work a few days ago.  I was able to stand just outside our office back door to take the picture.  Because of the fence, the moose wasn't afraid of me and I wasn't afraid of him either.  This is a young one, probably a year old calf.

I like my nest paper-cutting but still trying to figure out how to suspend that middle layer.  I can get glass cut to fit, but it makes the picture heavy having three layers of glass.  This time I tried gluing the edges of the pic to the frame, but that limits you from moving it around later if you decide it should be further back, as I do now that I look at it more.

I'm also having trouble finding quality frames that are deep (enough space for three layers with separation).  I got this at Michaels for a couple bucks but it's one of those cheap frames where the corners will separate and the faux wood grain will peel off eventually.

I am so happy the slug be gone worked so well. I think sometimes having so much hanging around to be done can make you not able to do anything. Good job on getting things done and moving again. Loving the nest. Well you know me with birds. :))

You should make friends with a framer. Your art deserves beautiful frames that fit. Good to hear you treated yourself to a nice day off.

Sounds like the perfect way to get the slug gone.
I think Lisa is right; your beautiful paper cuttings need beautiful frames.
Oh, and love that moose.

Hope you will soon eb up and about again and less sluggy, it's awful to feel so low. And if only that snow would go- you would feel loads better too.
