I'm a slug

For real.  I'm a slug.  I've been sick for the past few days.  Just sitting on the couch, sipping hot tea, blowing my nose in a half paper towel (because I don't buy tissues) and feeling rather like a waste of space.

I have been working on some paper cutting pictures, but nothing is finished and ready to photograph.  I haven't sketched in a couple weeks, haven't picked up my paintbrushes in at least a month.  I've not been blogging or checking blogs either - just feeling kind of low.  Maybe some summer sun will chase the blues away.

Would you believe that there is STILL snow in my backyard?  Just a small hump now and it is slowly going away.  We are starting to get green buds on my rose bush and trees, but not fully leafed out yet.  I bought some begonia plants to put in my flower pot that sits on my front porch, but then didn't get them planted.  I told you I was a slug.

Well, this slug is off to bed soon.  Hopefully I will feel more like myself tomorrow and not so much like a slug.

Lack of warmth & sun can do that to me. All of a sudden it has warmed up nicely here and I feel like cleaning & painting everything in my little world here... lol Hang in there. We have missed you.
