Snowy retreat

My sister Kris and her friend TJ on one of the many trails we took.
Getting above treeline. We are headed to a place we call "the big rock". This is up in the Petersville hills.
Lunch on the trail. I had just gotten stuck and my sweetie had to help get me unstuck so we took a break for lunch.
The snow is about 5 feet deep. When sweetie steps off the machine he sinks in deep.
The boys playing ahead of me in the powder....see that big hill in the distance? That's up where we went to get to the big rock.
Looking back down the trail. It was gray and overcast, but looking behind we caught this bit of sunshine and clear skies over the mountains in the distance.
This is my first little cabin. We don't use it anymore except for when we have a bunch of guests. I love how it looks and sometimes really miss the coziness of it.
