Afternoon visitor

I came home from shopping today and met this at my doorstep. I called Sweetie to let him know why I was sitting in the driveway and not coming in. The moose left shortly after nibbling on my rose bush, nibbling on my one and only tree in the front yard and then ambled down the road to nibble on a neighbors lilac bush.

That is one large guest. To think I had to travel so many miles to see my first moose, one of my favorite creatures, and you have them coming uninvited to your home. He looked quite interested in what might be happening inside. Maybe he smelled an apple?

Yeah I think I would stay in the car too. :) Its fun to see nature in all its glory but its also good to respect them too. Its a wonder you have any plants at all.

I was wondering if there was something you can spray on your plants that keep them from eating your plants...like here we can spray a thing called Liquid fence and the deer wont eat the plant. or will they eat anything?

They seem to know that hunting season is over and they can come out! I've seen a lot more moose since we've got snow. I've heard hanging Irish Spring soap (in a nylon or something like it) in the trees will keep moose away.

Too fun having an "Art Friend" in Alaska! Who else could have a Moose at their door?
