Another raven retirement

My good friend Cheryl is retiring this Friday. I've worked with her for 12 years and even went on vacation to Hawaii with her once. She loves art, jewelry, shopping and dogs. I'm not into shopping or jewelry so much, but I do love hitting the art shops. We have a blast when we are together away from work. Her dog, Sadie (shown on my sidebar), was the subject of one of my watercolors - I did that pic for her birthday a year ago.

It's become customary for me to paint or draw a picture for my friends who leave my workplace. Cheryl requested ravens, so I did this picture which is the view out her office window. This old dead pine tree is very unique and often has an eagle sitting in the U-shaped branch. Then ravens flock around and harass the eagle until he leaves.

Here's a photo of the real tree.

Wow ! You are truly a wonderful friend. What a lovely treasure you leave for the people you work for.
I think this is more personal and nicer than a gold watch :)

You are so giving Patty.

Hey, I talked about you today at work. Someone came up to the circ desk to check out your raven book and I gave a whole talk about who you were!
