I said a week ago that I would try to zentangle a migraine....well, I didn't quite accomplish that, but I did zentangle a migraine aura. This is similar to what I see sometimes before I get a migraine. I see a spinning silver circular sawblade that moves around in my vision field and gradually becomes bigger until I can't see what I'm looking at. I can see around the edges though. It only lasts about 15 - 20 minutes and then goes away. But then the headache usually starts shortly thereafter. This was fun to draw (without a headache) and try to visualize what I see when I'm not seeing it.....does that make sense?

OOOOH Yes! This is a seriously cool illo Patty...in a seriously "unfun" way. I feel those same gnawing edges and that unforgiving piercing when I have mine also! I can't imagine how awful this is. I would be put into a panic every time I couldn't see. Great drawing though.
It makes complete sense to me.
I would see a silver rod in the upper right of my vision, followed by being unable to talk - except in gibberish, followed by major headache. Mine were all hormone related and thankfully I haven't had one in years.
When I close my eyes I see checkers as well

I have never had a migraine and by the looks of yours I don't want one. Wonderfully done for something so painful.
It hurts just to look at it! Ouch!!!
Poor patty. I get those too but no pain, just the aura.
