Birds

I spent most of my day at City Hall again with a few brief walks across the town square to the other meeting place. In the park were thousands of Bohemian Waxwings sitting in the tops of all the trees and flying around in circles. It almost sounded like cicadas but more pleasant. Happy Animal Wednesday!

Oh how I miss those! I have not seen that down here in WI. We have large flocks of wild turkeys. Does that count?

I love to hear the chatter of the waxwings. What a delight to see so many Bohemians in one place. Here just one would be an event.

In seeing all these waxwings flocking, does this signal spring for alaska?

We have cedar waxwings here in WI.

I love the name of them! Every time I see a flock of birds I nearly go off the road watching them. Especially if there are so many and the noise is deafening.

Nice shot Patty! I hope this means spring will be there soon ;)

Cool! I've only ever seen a flock of blackbirds in the trees.
