These are a few of my favorite things....

I like that song from the Sound of Music. Here are a few of my favorite things this week:

Dinner with sweetie - he's taking me out tonight for our anniversary because Wednesday was kind of busy (I go to church and work in the toddler/baby room).

Working on Saturday because even though it's work, it still doesn't feel like work because the phone isn't ringing, co-workers aren't interrupting, and I know I can leave if I really want to.

Catching up on work. It feels so good to get some stuff that's been hanging over me done! My boss is going on vacation next week so he cleared his desk of tons of stuff, most of which landed on my desk for me to do!!!! Next week will be quiet - there are three of the managers out on vacation. Yippee Skippee!

Connecting with a young lady at the Kid's Kitchen. She has dropped out of school and is wandering aimlessly, hanging out here and there - the man who started this ministry says she comes from one of the most dysfunctional families he's ever seen. I connected with her because she was drawing while the rest of us did Zentangles. She is exceptionally good. Although our conversation was very limited, I told her I'd be back Thursday and I'd love to see more of her drawings. Then I couldn't go yesterday because I had so much work to catch up on, but my friend called and said the girl had showed up with a portfolio so I raced over there after work and spent about 15 min. with her. I didn't want her to think I didn't keep my word. We agreed to meet on Tuesday and we are both bringing our sketchbooks.

We got the rest of our Home Energy Rating stuff done this week. It feels good to have the house all snug and secure.

Life is good!

Good for you. It sounds like you are getting things done that are good for you inside and out. It does feel good to take care of body and soul.

Happy Anniversary!!
That was soo nice of you to do this for the poor girl
There are far too many people like this today.
We drove by Hastings street in Vancouver. They cleaned it up for the Olympics but now the homeless people are back and they are shooting up right under your nose.
It's just a sad situation.Best not to fall into that if you can avoid it.

Happy Anniversary..
That WAS nice of you to befriend this gal. You never know what doing a simple kindness as this will reap. Nice you are getting caught up at work. Enjoy next week while the 'cats' are away. :))

Patty, dear heart. You'll never know if you'll be the one person that can change that girl's life for the better. She needs someone to believe in her. (I was that girl.)

As for Harry in my post? I just made it up, but you can bet there are lots of Harrys out there.♥
