Welcome Little One....

I drove to the Kenai Animal Shelter yesterday and picked up the newest addition to our family. No telling what breed she is but I believe she's a lab/husky mix just like all my other dogs. She's about 4-5 months old and exceedingly hyper. And she wolfs her food as if she hasn't been fed in ages. So far she and Roxy are getting along fine, except I think she's bugging Roxy to death. We kenneled her last night, not knowing what she would get into, and she whined a few times and then not a peep out of her all night until I got up to let her out this morning. It was a bad morning for training new pups to go outside and go potty as there were two moose in our neighbors yard. This made me yell at Roxy to get back in since she was barking and running up and down the fence line. That scared the new pup who only wanted back inside.I'm having trouble getting any pics unless sweetie holds her because she is so active. I'll do better once she settles in. I haven't picked a name out yet but these are in the running: Willow, Magpie (Maggie for short), Kivilina (Kivi), Ninja (I just thought of this last night as she went racing crazy around the house), Raven and Chickadee.

She is a handsome dog. You are brave getting a puppy. She looks healthy too. I hope you have many happy years together. She will keep you motivated to walk to work off some of that energy.

Those are all nice names.
She'd also suit Blossom. She seems to be a very nice pup lol I like giving soft names so the dog grows up mellow.
I think my next dog will be called Jello lol

Magpie sounds like a cute name.

A co-worker and I were just looking at the website for Kenai and saw that dog! then I looked at your blog and saw your dog! good job adopting... I think a good name would be Chickadee and call her Chicky!! any name you come up with will fit I'm sure. Good luck with having a puppy again.

I'm with "Magpie" as a name. Still in the raven family but black and white.

She really has a sweet face and look about her. Sounds like she still has puppy behavior. Keep us updated on her progress.
