I'm still at the boat show and don't have my camera connection or scanner so won't be posting any pictures today (unless I post another pic of grandbabies which I can steal from FB). Yesterday was a much better day for selling books. So far I've sold 17 Carina's and some of my other children's books and wildlife cards. Today is slower, but I'm still hopeful.
I've met and seen some interesting people. Just a few minutes ago two men strolled by both pushing strollers, one had twins, the other a single child PLUS an additional 5 small children walking with them. 2 men with 8 children - all under the age of 5 I would guess. I was in awe.
I gave one of my foreign coins to a boy yesterday. He was so interested in the coins and told me all about his coin collection. His favorite coin is a 1901 US penny. He said he just likes to hold it and imagine people held it over 100 years ago. This boy kept picking up my 2 1/2 cent Curacao coin. I looked it up on the internet and found out it was only worth about $1.00 so the next time I saw him I called him over and gave it to him. He came back later to thank me and then brought his mom who also thanked me. I like nice kids. He really impressed me because he was so polite and interested in something other than video games!
I love to people watch so it's been a fun 4 days. I've done a little sketching and came up with 9 possible Cactus Monday sketches so I think I'm back in the game! I had a dry spell for awhile but apparently sitting at a boat show with nothing to do will inspire my muse to kick it up a notch.

Don't worry, we all have dry spells. I enjoyed your coin story. I can just imagine the smile on that boys face when you gave him the coin.
What a fun weekend. You made that Boy's day for sure. Encouraging him to do something other than sit on his duff. Great! I am glad you did sell a few books etc. It sounds like you were immersed in "man's world". Your granddaughter is such a cutie.
