Sunday Sketching

Today I sketched my pew neighbor's shoe. She wears much more stylish shoes than my sister! That went so quickly that I then sketched my tote bag which contains all my church necessities; my bible, Sunday School materials, sketch book, bag of sketch pencils/eraser/sharpener and assorted bulletins.I attended a funeral yesterday. The lady who passed away was Audrey, our church's pianist. I sketched her about 6 months ago, one of the last times she felt well enough to come to church and play. She so enjoyed singing, playing the piano and watching the congregation sing. She will be greatly missed. One of her daughters will be house and dog sitting for us the next two weeks.

I bet Audrey will be missed dearly by your church body. Nice photos. Wish I could wear a really high heeled shoe like that!

Love the drawings. I so wish you could teach me how.

Love and peace for a great week!
PS Drove past our McDonalds over the weekend and smiled so widely thinking of you.

Cute shoes!

I am sure Audrey will be missed. I would think her family would be blessed by your sketch. Will you share it with them?

Cl - I thought about it. The face does not look like hers, it's an overall capture of her posture and piano - not a true likeness. I'm not sure they would see it as her or not. Her hair was pretty thin too from the chemo and I embellished it for this drawing to make it fuller.
