Did I mention yet that I LOVE my watercolor class? Yes? Well I can't tell you enough, I love my watercolor class!
Last night we used different techniques and learned about negative space. We used a splatter technique for the tree leaves in foreground, negative space painting for all trees behind the three front birch, shadows in beautiful colors of blue, green-blue, and purple-blue (I wish I had done mine darker; the ones who were more bold on the shading had beautiful trees.) and then some scraping with razor blade.
Here's some of our group together. Mine is second to right on bottom. It is amazing to me how we are all painting the same composition yet we come out different.
