A funny coincidence

View from the cabin on a sunny day. Tim called and said it was sunny most of yesterday, so this is what he was seeing.

There are three Lowes Home Improvement stores in Anchorage. I went to one yesterday during my lunch break to buy a door. We are replacing the back and front doors of our house before winter sets in. The one and only salesperson in the door department was busy helping another customer and that customer seemed to be asking lots of questions so it was taking a long time. I looked through all the doors and picked what I wanted and still I waited. I kept looking down at them hoping the salesman would say, "be with you in a minute ma'am" but he didn't. Then one time I glanced over and thought to myself that the voice of the customer sounded familiar. It was my own Dad! He was also buying a door (replacing side garage door) at the same time of day at the same store as me. Isn't that crazy?! So they didn't have what he wanted, but I got mine and had time to spare. Dad offered me his old icky door, but I didn't want it.

I love your cabin/lake photo!

Now what are the chances that you'll run into your dad in a big city like Anchorage??? Nice.

That's dad all right, trying to get some dumb kid to take his junk! Ask me about the gallon of ugly paint that he put in the back of my truck. He was sure that I would like it cause it was free!

That is really weird that you'd both be buying doors at the same time. I mean really, you both had the same not so great doors for like 20 years and then you both but at the exact same time. That is really weird to me. Did we talk about doors the other day we were visiting mom and dad?
