Yard Sale

My sister and I held a joint yard sale today. She brought all her junk treasures to my house and we set up in the driveway and on the lawn. Our neighbor brought over two items for us to sell, my two nieces brought their stuff and then my parents dropped by with a tent and fishing poles. It was a fun and very busy day! The sun was shining for the 3rd consecutive day and I got sunburned! Yay! It's about time! I made $153.25 which is just perfect because I signed up for a watercolor class that starts next month....the cost? $150! I'm really excited about the watercolor class - it's five Mondays in a row from 6:30 - 9:30 pm so that equals 15 hours at $10 per hour. The instructor is Don Kolstad, a fairly well known local watercolor and oil artist.

I feel renewed. My house is less cluttered, I made a little money, got some good sunshine, visited with family most of the day and will be starting a painting class in a few weeks.

It's good you had a thrift sale. It's always nice to get rid of STUFF!

Bring on the sun Anchorage girl!

Good for you! I am so glad you are feeling better, the sunshine does a body good. And the watercolor class sounds wonderful. I have heard his name somewhere - just not sure where.

Wish I'd known about your treasure sale - I would have brought you (read given, get them out of my house, never want to see them again) some of my "treasures".

Every year I say, I'm making a yardsale to get rid of all my "treasures". But I never do, because by the time I get my butt in gear it's mid summer and way to hot to go in the attic to get my treasures.

So kudos to you!!!

Good for you and your sister! Every year I say I'm going to do a garage sale, but never do. I just end up taking all our junk to goodwill.

How exciting. I can't wait to see what all you learn in your class. It is always invigorating to have something fun to look forward to.

A great trade off. Clean spaces and money for your Art classes.
