Sweetie

My sweetie has gone to the cabin. I miss him already and he's only been gone one day. I never sleep well when he's gone (it takes about three days before I can just get in bed and fall asleep) so I'm exhausted today. Usually when he leaves for a few days, the first night I stay up till all hours, watching mindless TV or reading a book. I don't know why I do that. For some reason I just can't sleep comfortably when he's not here. I think there is a little fear of the dark, a lot of fear of ax murderers, and just plain old habit.

Hey me too! I know just what you mean! For me I let the house go until I know he is coming home, then I make a mad dash to clean it before he arrives!

That is a beautiful picture of the cabin!

Did he take the dogs? You should keep one of the dogs there with you. That should ease your mind. I do that too when my DB leaves for a few days. He doesn't do it often enough for me to get used to sleeping alone. The house always talks more when he is gone. If you know what I mean.

I would luv to go to such a cabin
Its wonderful and I would never sleep.
My heart and soul would be outside.
Can you imagine the stars out there in the darkness?
I hardly ever sleep anyway
I knit and the day and night passes
I go to bed around 4 am and then wake up at 9:30 am
Bad habits are forming. But who cares. Time enough to sleep when I die.
Eh?
lol

I think we just get use to having them in bed. Hope you have a more peaceful slumber tonight. And turn off the TV!

I hear you. My sweetie was away for over a week and by the end I was sleeping well but the first few nights were awful.

My hubby has just been away for a 5 day diving trip, and I sleep very well when he is away, in fact it takes me time to adjust to having him back in the bed? Am I wierd?

Not really. I'm not quite right when he's gone.♥
